I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and would like to welcome you all to Iowa City, old capitol of Iowa. My name is Hosin David Lee of University of Iowa and I met many of you last year's greatest Midwest conference in Chicago. I enjoyed the conference so much and I decided to hold it this year in Iowa City.
I remeber having a conversation at the dinner table and Prof. Kwangje Kim (I blieve but I could be wrong on this) said that he had never been to Iowa. I am sure that he may not be the only one in Chicago who has not been to Iowa City. We are at the border of Illinois and we are just 200 miles away from Chicago. Half of our students come from Illinois and we are very Illinoisan friendly campus.

As of now, we received 54 people registered for the conference but we only have two people registered from Chicago. Our goal is to have 100 people registered for the conference, with a help from Chicagoans, I am confident that we can exceed our goal.
If you are a tennis player, we are organizing the midwest tennis tournament after the conference from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on March 21. We have three teams of double players from Ames, Wisconsin, Iowa City, Urbana-Champaign and need three teams of double players from Chicago to truly represent the Midwest.
It is time to visit Iowa City that has been growing fast....with the largest shopping mall in Iowa, a factory outlest mall in 20 minutes, an Amana colony in 10 minutes and a new Marriott hotel...
