The Scholarship Committee of KSEA-MW is inviting high school seniors of Korean background, who is residing in Chicago metropolitan area and who intend to study in the field of science or engineering (not medical/dental major, but bio-engineering included) to apply for a scholarship.
Scholarship selection has been started.
Application Deadline: by October 27, 2008 (application and all required materials must arrive by the deadline)

Scope of future college study: Science or Engineering major only (Medical study is excluded)
Essay topic: Free topic but we encourages to write about how and why you want to study the college major and future plan after graduate college

UKC 2008 Call For Papers
The annual technical conference of KSEA, called "US-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (UKC)" , is the most important and visible activity of KSEA. The objective of UKC is to provide a forum in which leading researchers from the US and Korea can present their research findings within their respective area of expertise and discuss the most recent trends in technology-based products. UKC2008 will also promote networking among participants to allow scientific collaboration between the two countries. In addition, UKC2008 will provide young scientists and engineers with an opportunity to learn about and explore their career opportunities.
